I will tell you I loved this book! Alexei was a Russian mob accountant but he also was a underground fighter and enforcer at one time. Christelle was a temporary maid to Alexei and needed the job for her baby brother Lucian, her mother had died giving birth to him and she had a very abusive stepfather. Christelle was a sweet and loving woman but only eighteen and she loved her brother fearlessly. Alexei was drawn to her because of her love for her brother, he had been raised in a orphanage, and there was attraction for her. One evening Christelle comes with her brother needing help from her stepfather, she didn't want to but she had no where else to go but to Alexei, he would help her but there would be a deal with her sleeping with him and still getting pay for being the maid by living with him with her little brother, he was so good with her brother. At first Christelle was fearful of Alexei because she had no experience with men but boy when they got together it was hot, I loved Alexei in all his alpha personality but he was also vulnerable, and when something is his he protects it, even from his Russian counterparts. Christelle falls in love with Alexei as she understands him and he her so awesome, I will be reading this book again!💗 Will be recommend this book to all romances readers!💗

Christelle DeMelo's life changed drastically a year ago when her mother died giving birth to her brother Lucien before that she was your happy average teenage girl enjoying life and school but the death of her mother completely changed everything, she had to give up school, start working full time on top of becoming a mother to her baby brother all at just eighteen years of age. As if this wasn't enough the only family she has is her step-father who, since the death of his wife has turned into a drunken mess.
Christelle finds herself in the perfect job cleaning for Alexei Petrov a wealthy business man but Alexei turns out to be much more than just your average business man.
I liked Alexei, I mean seriously what's not to like he's tall, dark, handsome and mysterious and I pictured him exactly as he is on the cover (I love that pic and that guy)
Christelle, where do I start with Christelle?
I liked her but...look I know her life is unbelievably impossible and it's difficult to explain exactly what I mean without come across as a complete bi**h but she was just a little too subservient and when they struck the deal I just felt so utterly sorry for her, the balance was wrong and what should have been a hot scene just didn't work that way for me. I know the blurb says 'led her into the cruel hands of Alexei Petrov' and in that instance he was incredibly cruel which would have been fine if it fit in with his character but most the time he was actually quite sweet with her, gruff yes but still sweet and so I struggled a bit with that part.
I also thought the Mafia would play a larger part.
Roman intrigues me so I'm going to keep an eye out for his book.
This was an enjoyable read, the ending seemed a little abrupt but that could just be me I do love my epilogues and always feel a bit cheated when I don't get one.
I kinda enjoyed the book. Not dark as what the book described but it's fine for me. Christelle is a 18 year old teen who's raising her baby Brother by herself after her Mother passed away during childbirth. Her Stepfather who's a drunk always demand money from her. But when she couldn't give him what he wants, he'll raised his fist against her.

Christelle is working as a housekeeper for a man name Alexei. She only knew that he's a Russian and doesn't talk much since she met him only twice. Christelle always bring along her baby Brother to work thinking that Alexei and Varlam his guard wouldn't know about it. Of cos they knew. They're fine with it but one day when Christelle turns up with baby Lucian at Alexei condo, he and Varlam wouldn't let this issue go when they spotted a black eye on her face.

I like both the characters. Although Alexei is not the 'good' guy, but he's very protective and possessive towards Christelle. He sweeten the deal when he's very sweet towards baby Lucian. Baby Lucian definitely is the icing on the cake as he's indispensable in the book. 😊😊😊

Couldn't put the book down, it has the right amount of everything to make it a perfect romance. Highly recommend it.
Given That Both stories by this talented Author were 5 star reads, I cannot wait for more books by
Miss Katerina! I am already invested in this new series and ready for more of the background characters stories like Roman or anyone that the Author decides to write about.
This is my favorite of this author's work, so far. I've read all of her work and each one could have been a five star for me if the books were even close to being edited.

Story and character development is great, but the spelling and grammar stuff continues to pull me out of the story. The potential here is tremendous.

Anyway, I really love this story and am on the lookout for her next one. I would love to read secondary character Roman's story next... Hope it shows up soon.
