I enjoyed the premise and the story as a whole, but the female MC was just the WORST! She is whiney and weak and selfish and just a really terrible person. She lost her husband 2 years before the start of this book and all she has done is use that as an excuse to become an alcoholic and drug addict. She's lost her career, pushed her family to the brink and almost got her small nephew killed because she was too busy wallowing in self pity.

She doesn't get any better after she gets kidnapped and taken into space. After all her talk of still loving her husband and using that as an excuse to be cruel to everyone who tries to get close to her, she jumps into bed with the male MC. Of course, she is immediately cruel to him and blames HIM for her having sex with him, even though she is the one who starts it, every time.

Even after she is visited by the ghost of her dead husband who tells her to let him go because she has met the man she is supposed to be with, she STILL acts like a turd and continues to demand she be taken home to Earth. Then, just to be even worse, she acts like a jealous shrew anytime another woman looks at the male MC and demands he only be with her ... then she immediately tells everyone that he better return her home! Ugh. Her crappyness just ruined the story for me.

I found this cutie on Booksprout and then was able to get it for my kindle. Not just an alien romance oh no we have a shapeshifter alien who kidnaps an alcoholic jockey to train a horse and there is not going to be any heat well this will be an interesting read. Gabriel loss tears into Camryn and will not let go. Her family is worried and scared not just for her but for their family. Next thing you know in flies Ry our shifter/alien looking for a trainer Camryn is taken but Max is in trouble because that is whom they wanted. The only question is can Cam convince them that she can train the horse so they will leave max alone. That is all the spoilers I am going to give you, but the book was very enjoyable and some great twists. This was a book I could not put down.
Caryn becomes an alcoholic after the death of her husband. She is living on the horse ranch with her brother and his family, they can no longer trust her due to her alcoholism. She hates herself for letting them down. One night alien'so come to take her brother to train their hell horse. She convinces them to take her instead, it is the least she can do for her brother after all he has done for her.
Ryan is a cat shapeshifter. He has made a bet he has to win and kidnapper her to train his hellhorse. They are fascinated by each other as they look for and the train for the race. This is a high risk adventure story, where the risk is the only thing that has got through her deep depression and given her hope. Can they live through this race and find love?

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the story line and the characters, especially the secondary characters. I really hope we get to read more about Ry's crew. I liked that Ry and Camryn were more in depth than they initially professed themselves to be. I liked getting to peel back layers and learn more about them. I wasn't so fond of the jumps in time. It seemed that the relationships in the book should have progressed more for how much time jumped. I did like that the author found a way to tell you that extended periods of time had passed instead of just letting you guess that it was a few days, a week, or a month later. The story had plenty of action, some very intense horse races, and more than enough steamy scenes to keep any reader happy. Overall, I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Camryn was a jockey that turned into an alcoholic after the death of her husband. Her brother Max and his family took her in at his horse ranch to watch her because no one can trust her in the state she’s in. Ry is a alien feline shape shifter has a bet with his foster brother in a horse race. He comes to Earth to kidnap a trainer for his horse and comes to get Max but Camryn convinces him that it’s her that’s the trainer. She wants to protect her brother and leave him with his family. As Ry sees Camryn he gets sexual feelings for her and isn’t sure why and try’s to control it. Camryn try’s to train his horse so that they don’t realize that she’s not the trainer they wanted but the grief that she feeling is still there for her to work through. Will Ry with his attraction to Camryn help her overcome her grief and realize she wants him and will the horse race be won because of her so that she will be returning to Earth or will Ry convince her to stay?

"Captured & Seduced" takes us on an Alien Abduction from Earth to a Spirited Horse Race on Another Planet, which our victim must WIN to GO HOME!
Ohhh, Did I mention the Horses are WILD. UNTRAINED. CARNIVORES!, & they'd just as soon EAT YOU as LET YOU RIDE them!!
But, Hey! That's the condition she's gotta fulfill to RETURN TO EARTH...
Too BAD the Kitty's decided he's taken a liking to the Jockey & wants to keep her!
Yep... He's Pulling out ALL the Stops, & soon she'll be "Captured & Seduced" into staying with him...
